Christopher S. Kayoshe

Mr. Kayoshe is a seasoned professional with two decades of experience driving governance reforms, peacebuilding initiatives, and security sector transformation across Africa. His work spans the African Union, the African Development Bank, INTERPOL, national governments, and academia, where he has consistently shaped public institutions, advanced regional diplomacy, and built resilience in fragile and post-conflict settings. Multilingual and Pan-African in outlook, Christopher brings a grounded, field-based perspective to both public and private sector transformation, supporting governments and multinational companies to operate effectively in complex and politically unstable environments.

In the area of Governance & Institutional Reform, Christopher has led major initiatives at the African Union, including serving as Senior Political Officer for Strategic Issues and Counter-Terrorism and later as Head of Division for Defence and Security Governance. At the African Development Bank, he advanced fragility, conflict, and resilience programming, while at Rwanda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs he advised on Great Lakes regional diplomacy and conflict dynamics. His tenure at INTERPOL further strengthened his expertise in international law enforcement, maritime security, and counter-piracy operations.

Beyond intergovernmental and security roles, Christopher has contributed to capacity building and academic development, having taught at Kigali Independent University, trained officers at multiple Police Academies, and served as a trainer at the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria. He has also held corporate leadership roles, including Head of Corporate Security in a start-up airline where he secured international certifications.

Christopher holds a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies from the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica, an Honours degree in African Politics from the University of South Africa, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Security Studies from the University of Pretoria. He has also received advanced training from the NATO School Oberammergau in Defense Against Terrorism and UNITAR in Peace-Making and Preventive Diplomacy.
